How to Use the GMT Function
Quick Start
To set your Pathfinder GMT:
- Pull the crown out to the first click.
- Turn clockwise to change the date.
- Turn anticlockwise to change the GMT (24-hour) hand.
- Pull the crown out to the second click to set the main time.
- Push the crown back in when finished.
The GMT (24-hour) hand can be adjusted independently from the main time, making it easy to track a second time reference.
Understanding the GMT Function
The Pathfinder GMT is powered by the Ronda 515.24H, a quartz movement with 3 hands, a date display, and a GMT (24-hour) hand. The movement is also specified as having a GMT function with quick change, which means the GMT hand can be adjusted separately through the crown.
Crown Positions
The crown has three positions:
- Normal position - watch running
- First click - date and GMT (24-hour) hand adjustment
- Second click - time setting
When the crown is pulled to the second click, the watch stops for more precise time setting.
Setting the Date
To adjust the date:
- Pull the crown out to the first click.
- Turn the crown clockwise until the correct date appears.
- Push the crown back to the normal position.
Setting the GMT (24-Hour) Hand
To adjust the GMT (24-hour) hand:
- Pull the crown out to the first click.
- Turn the crown anticlockwise until the desired 24-hour time appears.
- Push the crown back to the normal position.
Simple rule: turn clockwise for the date, and anticlockwise for the GMT hand.
Setting the Time
To set the main time:
- Pull the crown out to the second click.
- Turn the crown until the current time is displayed.
- Push the crown back to the normal position.
The second hand stops while setting the time for precise adjustment.
Important Notes
Avoid changing the date between 10 pm and midnight. If you do adjust it during that period, advance the date to the next day to ensure correct operation.
