Congratulations!

You are now the proud owner of your very own Daniel Wellington watch. Timeless, versatile and designed to complement any outfit. We hope you enjoy your new signature piece!

Water Resistance
Water Resistance
IS MY WATCH WATERPROOF?

Daniel Wellington watches are water-resistant up to 3ATM or 10ATM. You can find the water-resistance on the case back of your DW watch, as well as in the product descriptions on site.

3ATM pieces are rain/splash resistant but should not be exposed directly to water. We recommend taking off these watches before showering, bathing, swimming, or engaging in any activity that may involve prolonged exposure to water.

10ATM pieces can withstand showering and casual swimming (swimming at surface level). We do not recommend diving or high-impact watersports with these watches. After contact with salt or chlorine water, please rinse in tap water.

Kindly note that water damage due to exposure to a higher water pressure than indicated on the watch is not covered under our 24-month warranty.

Movement
Movement
WHAT TYPE OF MOVEMENT IS USED?

All Daniel Wellington timepieces use a Japanese Quartz Movement or Automatic Movement.

Japanese Quartz Movement

Batteries fitted in our timepieces are expected to last between 2 to 4 years depending on external factors such as, but not limited to: external temperature, humidity, air pressure, etc. If the watch stops moving, contact your local Daniel Wellington retailer, Daniel Wellington customer support or get help from a local watchmaker.

Automatic Movement

The Automatic watch has a power reserve of up to 42 hours when left unworn. If the watch has ran out of power, wind it manually by turning the pushed-in crown clockwise. Caution, Strong magnetic fields can cause the movement to run fast or stop completely. We advise you to keep your watch at least 10cm away from any objects with a magnetic field (e.g. smart phone, digital tablets, induction hubs.)

Automatic
Automatic
How do I take care of my Automatic?

To keep the watch in good condition it is recommended to do a service of the automatic watch every third year

Adjust date and time

To adjust the date, pull the crown to the first position and adjust by turning the crown. Once the date is set, push the crown all the way back to the case. Avoid adjusting the date between 9 PM and 1 AM. The time accuracy is -20 to +40 seconds per day depending on your movements when wearing the watch.

To adjust the time, pull the crown to the second position and adjust the time by turning the crown. Once the time is set push the crown all the way back to the case.

Material
Material
WHAT IS THE WATCH MADE OF?

METAL

All our metal watches are made with 316L surgical steel. We’ve chosen this material for its purity, durability and remarkable anti-corrosive properties.

Plating

Our gold and rose gold products are plated with real gold. We use a technique called ion-plating, a considerably more sustainable plating method compared to traditional plating practices.

GLASS

The glass of the watch is made from hardened mineral glass. It is resistant against normal wear and tear but should be handled with care.

Nato

Our NATO straps are crafted from a polyester weave with a stitched thread construction. Our NATO straps are made from high-quality recycled polyester.

Leather

All of our leather straps are made from genuine Italian leather. As leather is an organic material, all watch straps will vary in grain and texture. Changes in hue from regular wear are a natural part of the ageing process.

Ceramic

Ceramic is lightweight, scratch-resistant and maintains a color that never fades. Please be advised that hard impacts can cause ceramic to chip or crack, although this is not a common occurrence.

SYNTHETIC RUBBER “FKM”

Our rubber straps use fluoroelastomer (FKM). FKM is known for its hi-tech properties; it’s durable, temperature/chemical resistant and has a high-quality surface finish, texture and weight. Please be advised that FKM can break if pulled too hard, although this is not a common occurrence.

HOW DO I KNOW WHETHER MY DANIEL WELLINGTON IS AUTHENTIC?

To ensure the authenticity of a Daniel Wellington timepiece, it must be purchased directly from our website or from an authorized Daniel Wellington retailer.

If purchasing from e-commerce platforms such as eBay and Groupon, or an unauthorised third party vendor on Amazon, there is a risk of receiving a timepiece that is counterfeit, used, or defective. Daniel Wellington does not honour any warranty claims that are not accompanied by the original documentation.
