The Iconic Link Automatic Black is the most advanced watch in the Daniel Wellington collection: a Japanese automatic movement housed in a 40 mm black case, with an enamel dial whose glossy surface absorbs and reflects light depending on the angle. No battery to change—the movement is powered by the natural motion of your wrist, and the transparent case back allows you to observe the mechanism in action.
The Japanese automatic movement draws its energy from your wrist, eliminating the need for a battery and giving this men's watch autonomy as long as it is worn daily. The sapphire crystal case back reveals the rotor and gears, a detail usually reserved for much higher-end ranges.
Sapphire crystal protects both the dial and the case back, offering significantly greater scratch resistance than standard mineral glass. The black dial remains pristine over the months, even with everyday wear.
Water resistance to 10 ATM allows for swimming and snorkelling without removing the watch. The stainless steel case and double safety butterfly clasp keep the link bracelet securely on your wrist, even in water.
Luminous markers and hands remain legible in the dark, while the enlarged date window at 3 o’clock makes reading the date effortless. The black link bracelet adjusts from 165 to 215 mm thanks to the additional links included.
